Diagnostics and Testing Engineering
Research and development of new diagnostic methods and comprehensive systems for automatic testing of equipment functionality and reliability. The specific research and development tasks focus on testing the functionality and reliability of equipment under development (for example, HIL and SIL testing and simulations). The project outputs are positively reflected in the increased reliability and safety of both individual devices and the manufacturing technologies as a whole.
The diagnostics and testing field would not be complete without an accredited electrical laboratory (EL).
Examples of Anticipated Research Outcomes
New diagnostic methods, expert diagnostic systems and sophisticated testing methods intended for:
- comprehensive systems for automatic testing of equipment functionality and reliability;
- new materials, materials structures and investigated devices representing outputs of other RICE research activities;
- technological and manufacturing processes representing outputs of other RICE research activities.
All target groups of the RICE research programme. The new laboratory equipment and facilities procured within the RICE project are to meet such needs of regional industries in the fields of diagnostics, testing and other expert activities that have so far been impossible to fulfil.
