Faculty of Electrical Engineering scientists presented at the prestigious German Max Planck Institute
A team of researchers, headed by František Mach, visited the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems. Scientists composed by František Mach, Martin Juřík and Vojtěch Skřivan lectured for researchers from the Physical Intelligence Department in the field of magnetic positioning.
They presented the research activities, the results achieved and the challenges that they deal it with at the faculty and the innovation center of electrical engineering in Pilsen. Their presentations concerned two basic disciplines - magnetically Guided Multiscale Robots and Soft-robotic Grippers.
Part of the visit was also a meeting with the head of the Physical Intelligence Department and a prominent expert in this area Professor Metin Sitti. For great positivity, Mach considers establishing contacts and arranging exchange programs for faculty students. Partnership with such an important institute, which is one of the top positions in the field of magnetic positioning of miniature and microscopic robots in the world, will start at the beginning of next year. For the faculty, this is another step forward in research.
